The Manito Historical Society is dedicated to collecting and preserving Manito's history.  The "Showcase" of our efforts is located on the property of Manito Community Bank in Manito.  The "Old Village School" and the "Old Jail" are located on the northwest corner of the property and serve as small museums preserving that history.
